OSWEGO, N.Y. – Nick Chilson – of the baseball team – was named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 6.
The junior was a vital piece in helping the Lakers claim their third-consecutive SUNYAC Championship and trip to the NCAA Tournament over the weekend. As Oswego trailed 4-2 in Monday’s championship game against Cortland, he led off the top of the sixth with a single, ensuing to them taking the lead and never surrendering.
The Johnson City, N.Y., native finished 4-for-12 at the plate, with two RBI and three runs scored through the tournament.
