The Oswego State men's lacrosse team earned a 10-8 win over Maritime College in the Lakers' first game of the season on Friday night.
Mike Strohm factored in half of Oswego State's goals, scoring twice and assisting on three others. Ryan Rossborough had three goals to lead the goal-scoring effort for the Lakers.
Laker midfielder Dan Rogers was dominant at the face-off X and won 15 of 17 draws to give Oswego State possession throughout the contest. He also scored one of the Oswego State goals on the afternoon. The other Lakers to find the back of the cage were Mike Brewster, Mike Recor, Steve Tronovitch, and John Schumacher.
Oswego State goalie Matt Pfister had 12 saves in the contest.
Maritime was led by Lawrence Montreuil with three goals and one assist.
The Lakers return to action on Sunday against SUNY Farmingdale.
