The Oswego State women's soccer team were held to five shots for the entire game in dropping its second SUNYAC contest on the road, losing to host Buffalo State, 2-0, on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The Bengals (7-5-1, 3-2-1 SUNYAC), who held a 17-5 edge in shots, scored both goals in the opening 20 minutes of the first half in helping to extend a five-game winning streak. Sophomore Barb Kiliszek scored the opening goal unassisted at the 16:34 mark. Buffalo State added an insurance goal more than five minutes later when freshman Kristina Boberskyj played a bobbled save by Oswego goalkeeper Toby Klein (Westbury/W.T. Clarke) in front of the Lakers net.
Klein made eight saves in goal for Oswego (5-6-1, 1-4-1 SUNYAC), while Meghan Jarrell made only three saves for the Bengals.
Oswego returns home for its next three contests, beginning with a 4 p.m. non-conference game with RIT on Tuesday, Oct .14, and following with back-to-back SUNYAC games on Family and Friends weekend against Geneseo State on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m., and The College at Brockport the following day at 3 p.m.
