Freshman Andy Hilton and sophomore Matt Harvey each scored four goals in leading Oneonta to a convincing 19-9 win against visiting Oswego State in SUNYAC men's lacrosse action.
Oneonta (5-7 overall, 2-3 SUNYAC) jumped out to an early 5-0 lead to begin things in the first quarter.
Oswego State (2-10 overall, 1-4 SUNYAC) bounced back with a pair of goals including a man-up
score by junior Mike Brewster. After a Tyler Dunne goal put Oneonta ahead 6-2, the Lakers notched two straight including Brewster's second goal of the game to cut the Red Dragons' lead to 6-4. Oneonta closed the final six minutes of the second quarter with four unanswered goals to take a comfortable 10-4 lead at halftime.
Laker goalie Judd Robinson made an impressive 27 saves for Oswego State, as Oneonta pelted the cage with 67 total shots, 46 of which were on goal. Ryan White led the Lakers with three goals. Brewster had two goals and an assist and Mike Strohm had a goal and two assists. John Schumacher, Cam Davoy, and Sean Jacquin also scored.
