The Oswego State men's lacrosse team lost 15-8 to visiting Keuka on Sunday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego.
Oswego State finished its season with a 3-12 overall record and was 2-5 in the SUNY Athletic Conference. Keuka is now 7-5 on the year.
The teams traded goals in the first quarter as Mike Brewster and Pat Decker scored for Oswego State and Jared Furnia scored twice for Keuka. Justin Pecoria and Chris Donohue tallied in the second quarter for the Storm and Oswego State got a goal from Mike Strohm, and Keuka led 4-3 at halftime.
The Storm broke through in the third quarter by outscoring the host Lakers 5-1 in the stanza to turn a close game into a 9-4 Keuka advantage. The Storm closed the third quarter with four straight goals, all scored by different players, and held on in the fourth quarter for the win.
Keuka outshot Oswego State 27-14 in the second half.
Oswego State was led by Mike Strohm and Cam Davoy with two goals each. Brewster, Decker, Eric Zerrahn, and Kevin Furletti also scored. Judd Robinson started in goal for Oswego State and had 10 saves. Matt Pfister played the last 6:19 of the game and had one save. Brewster and Ryan Greene led the Lakers with six ground balls each.
Keuka was led by Pecori with five goals and three assists. Furnia had three goals and three assists. T.J. Radka and Adam Farrell scored twice each. Goalie Chad Green had 13 saves, and the Storm won 16 of 27 faceoffs. Chris Sullivan had 14 ground balls and Greg Marsh picked up nine ground balls.
