Pat O'Keefe (Bronx/Lehman) batted 5-for-8 with a run scored and two RBI as Oswego State kept its hopes alive for an ECAC postseason berth in sweeping a pair of seven-inning non-conference doubleheaders from host SUNY Cobleskill on Tuesday, April 28.
The Lakers (18-13), who compiled 24 hits in both games while committing only one error, won the opener 12-6 before taking the nightcap, 6-3.

O'Keefe and senior first baseman KC Reardon (Liverpool/Cicero-North Syracuse) registered three hits apiece, with O'Keefe driving in a pair of runs and Reardon scoring twice, while Wroblewski and Eason each tallied a pair of hits. Senior PJ Cowie (Rochester/Spencerport) tossed a complete-game five-hitter to even his record to 2-2 on the season, striking out seven batters.
Oswego jumped to an early lead in game two also, scoring the opening run in the third inning before adding four runs in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead. Stoetzel scored senior second baseman Casey Rice (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy) from third on a sacrifice fly before Wroblewski followed with a two-run single with two outs a batter later to drive in junior Bryan Stark (Rochester/Greece Athena) and Eason. Junior shortstop Mike Levy (Salisbury Mills/Washingtonville) brought in the final run of the inning on a single.
The Fighting Tigers (6-24) cut the lead to two with a three-run, four-hit bottom of the fourth, but Oswego got the run back in the top of the seventh after an infield throwing error.
Wroblewski batted 2-for-3 in the second game, joining Rice, Levy, and O'Keefe with two hits each. Junior Andy Salvatore (Poughkeepsie/Arlington) struck out five batters while walking none to get the win on the mound, improving to 4-3 on the season.
The Lakers wrap up the regular season with back-to-back contest at home, facing Rochester Institute of Technology in a 4 p.m., nine-inning contest on Tuesday, May 5, before closing with a doubleheader with Utica College the following day at 2:00 p.m.
