Oneonta's Dana DeSimone scored the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute to give the Red Dragons a 2-1 double overtime victory over the Oswego State women's soccer team in the conference opener for both teams.
DeSimone received a pass from the wing from teammate Kori Hamm and dodged a Laker defender on her way to scoring her first goal of the season 2:05 into double overtime.
The Lakers took the early lead in the third minute on a goal from defender

Shelly Bateman (Jr., Fulton, N.Y.) found Vescio inside the 18-yard box, who blasted a shot past Oneonta goalkeeper Amy Lusby for the one-goal edge.
Oneonta held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks during the first half, but both teams were even in shots with six, as the Lakersmaintained a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Oneonta's Krystal Scott tied the game in the 76th minute after collecting her own rebound and beating Oswego State goalkeeper
Emily Varonier (Jr., Miller Place, N.Y.). Scott's goal came after two shots had been blocked by Laker defenders in front of the net. DeSimone had a shot blocked by a Laker defender before Scott too had the same result. Scott was able to beat the Laker defense on her second attempt from in front, though.
DeSimone's goal in double overtime dropped the Lakers to 6-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in SUNYAC. The Red Dragons improved to 2-4-0 overall and 1-0-0 in SUNYAC.
The Red Dragons controlled the second half, owning the advantage in shots, shots on goal and corner kicks. Oneonta outshot the Lakers, 9-2, in the second half and had a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal. After holding their previous two opponents without a corner kick opportunity, the Lakers allowed 10 corner kicks against Oneonta. Oswego State had just two corner kicks, both of which came in the first half.
Lusby earned the win in net for the Red Dragons, recording two saves on three shots. Varonier took the loss in net for the Lakers with six saves on eight shots. The team recorded two saves.
The Lakers return to action on Saturday when they travel to take on New Paltz at 1 p.m. in a SUNYAC match-up.
