OSWEGO, NY -Congratulations to Cartier Bowman of the men's basketball team for scoring his 1000^th career point yesterday in a win over the Potsdam Bears.

Bowman started his career At the College of Saint Rose and in his freshman season, he started all 27 games that he appeared in and was named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team. He was selected as the NE10 Rookie of the Week two times and topped the conference with a 57.1 field goal percentage while averaging 10.7 points. In his sophomore year, he appeared in six contests playing 22.8 minutes per game off the bench. He averaged 10.8 points and a team-leading 7.2 rebounds. The next season Bowman decided to transfer to Oswego and in his first season he started in 28 games accumulating 208 rebounds, 32 assists, 18 blocks, and 27 steals. Bowman also averaged 10 points per game.

So far this season, Bowman leads the team in rebounds per game with 8.7, is second in blocks with 8, and third in field goal percentage with .594. Bowman is an integral part of the Lakers having a 20-1 overall record and 14-0 conference record.
