OSWEGO, NY – Congratulations to
Ahkee Anderson for being named the SUNYAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Anderson had another outstanding week for the Lakers. He kicked it off with 19 points in an overtime win against the New Paltz Hawks. He also came up with three steals and two assists. When the Lakers hit the road for a two-game series up north, Anderson continued to stay hot on offense scoring at least twenty points against both Potsdam and Plattsburgh to average 20.7 points per game for the week. In those two games, he totaled nine assists to only two turnovers and grabbed ten rebounds. For the week, he shot a scorching hot 58 percent from the field and 75 percent from three..
So far this season, Anderson is averaging 15.1 points, 2.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. He leads the team in three-point percentage shooting 58% which is good enough to land him at number one in the SUNYAC in three-point percentage as well.
The Lakers will hit the road later this week to take on the Geneseo Knights on Friday and the Brockport Golden Eagles on Saturday.
