Oswego, N.Y. – The SUNY Oswego women's ice hockey team will enter the 2025–26 campaign with national recognition, earning the No. 8 spot in the USCHO.com Division III Women's Ice Hockey Preseason Poll, announced this week.
The Lakers' ranking marks another milestone for the program as they continue to solidify their status among the nation's elite. Under head coach
Mark Digby, Oswego is coming off one of its most successful seasons in recent history, which included a deep postseason run and a strong showing in conference play.
Oswego returns a strong core of experienced players, including several top point producers and key defensive standouts, complemented by a talented incoming class. The Lakers will look to build on last season's momentum as they chase a SUNYAC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
The Lakers open their 2025–26 season this Saturday when they host the St John Fisher Cardinals at 3:00 PM in the Deborah F Stanley arena.
