OSWEGO, NY - Thirteen players who have distinguished themselves on the ice in 2024-25 have been named finalists for the 2025 Laura Hurd Award, given annually to the best NCAA Division III women's ice hockey player in the country. All 13 finalists are first-time nominees.

Sponsored by the American Hockey Coaches Association, the Hurd Award honors the memory of former Elmira College standout Laura Hurd. A 2005 graduate of Elmira, and a four-time All-American, Hurd died in an automobile accident shortly after graduation. She was the recipient of the AHCA Player of the Year Award in 2005.

The Lakers' very own Mack Hull was named to the list of 13 finalists from the AHCA.

Mack Hull was named first team all-conference as well as being named Player of the Year by the SUNYAC. This is the first time Hull has been named to a SUNYAC All-Conference team. Hull is the leader in the SUNYAC in points (23) as well as goals (11). A standout game for Hull this season was on November 11^th against the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs when she scored 3 goals and assisted on another for 4 total points. She is in her senior year with the Lakers and comes to Oswego from Watertown, New York.
