OSWEGO, N.Y. — SUNY Oswego has officially announced the 2025-26 schedule for its women's ice hockey team, highlighted by a full slate of home events at the Deborah F. Stanley Arena & Convocation Center and several key matchups across the Northeast. The Lakers are set to celebrate their 20th anniversary season since the relaunch of the women's ice hockey program in 2006.

The Lakers open their campaign on Saturday, October 18 against St. John Fisher University as part of Family & Friends Weekend.

The season features an exciting mix of non-conference and SUNYAC opponents, including home games against Nazareth on Teal Night (Oct. 25), Castleton (Oct. 31–Nov. 1), and a Military Appreciation Night clash with Utica on Nov. 7. The Lakers will face Utica again the following day in Utica at the Nexus Center.

Oswego will honor its rich history during Alumni Weekend with back-to-back home contests versus Cortland (Nov. 14) and Morrisville (Nov. 15). Other promotional nights include the annual Teddy Bear Toss against Buffalo State (Nov. 22), Youth Hockey Day vs. Hamilton (Dec. 6), and Pride Night during a home showdown with national powerhouse Plattsburgh on Feb. 13.

The Lakers will travel to Vermont for the East-West Classic on Jan. 4-5, taking on Norwich and another opponent to be determined. Road trips continue in January with matchups against Manhattanville, Potsdam, and Plattsburgh.

February closes the regular season with a mix of home and away SUNYAC contests, including a Senior Day celebration against Potsdam on Feb. 14 and a road swing to Buffalo State and William Smith. The SUNYAC Tournament is scheduled to begin on Feb. 28, with a potential championship on March 7.

The Lakers were crowned regular season champions of the SUNYAC last season for the first time in program history with a record setting overall record of 22-3-3 and a conference record of 15-1-2. They look to continue their success in their 20th anniversary season starting this fall in the Deborah F Stanley Arena. Season tickets available now!
