Oswego, NY - The future of Laker Field Hockey is in good hands, as one Junior and two Sophomores were honored with Second Team All-SUNYAC honors, following their season coming to a close on Nov. 1st.
Junior Natalie Shields (East Syracuse, N.Y. / East Syracuse Minoa High School) had made plenty of appearances as a Freshman and Sophomore, and her first season as a mainstay in the Oswego starting 11 lands her an All-SUNYAC Second Team Honor. Shields made 16 starts out of her 18 appearances this season, and added two goals and registered four points this season, while splitting time between midfield and defense.
Sophomore Alexa Snyder (Clay, N.Y. / Cicero North Syracuse High School) lands her second consecutive Second Team All-SUNYAC Honor with a great Sophomore campaign. Starting in all 18 games this season, Snyder was one of the major pieces to the Laker lineup, as she has been since arriving on the shores of Lake Ontario.
Sophomore Sam Krautheim (West Milford, N.J. / West Milford High School) collects her second consecutive All-SUNYAC Honor, this year on the Second Team (Second Team in 2024). Following up her Freshman campaign, which saw her win SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, Krautheim improved both her goals against average (3.21 in 2024, 2.58 in 2025) and her save percentage (.798 in 2024, .819 in 2025). Krautheim led all SUNYAC Goalkeepers in minutes played (1045), saves (206), and was second in the conference in save percentage (.824).
