OSWEGO, N.Y. — The SUNY Oswego men's ice hockey team has officially announced its schedule for the 2025–26 season, featuring a competitive slate of non-conference and SUNYAC matchups, as well as the always-anticipated return of Whiteout Weekend.
The Lakers are your 2025 SUNYAC Defending Champions. This was the 11
th time in program history they were crowned SUNYAC Champions and the 19
th time they earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The season begins on Saturday, October 18 with an exhibition contest at home against St. John Fisher, followed by a second exhibition tilt on October 25 versus Nazareth, both in the friendly confines of the Deborah F. Stanley Arena.
Regular season action starts with a tough road trip to Geneseo on November 7, a key early non-conference matchup. The Lakers then host Brockport on November 8, followed by a two-game home series against Plattsburgh (November 14, White Out) and Potsdam (November 15), which marks the start of an intense SUNYAC stretch.
Non-conference highlights include hosting their annual Holiday Tournament, with an opening matchup against Williams on January 2
nd. The other participants are Babson and Elmira with the winner of the first two games facing off in the tournament championship on January 3rd.
The second half of the season kicks off with a bang on January 10, when the Lakers travel to face Cortland on January 10th in the always-electric rivalry game, followed by road contests against Buffalo State, Fredonia, Skidmore, and Plattsburgh.
The regular season finale will take place on February 21 against Buffalo State, closing out what promises to be another thrilling campaign on the ice.

Ed Gosek, the Lakers will look to build upon last season's momentum and make a deep postseason run. All home games will be played at the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
