Oswego, N.Y. - Travis Baker (Waterloo, Ont. Bonnyville Pontiacs (AJHL) was named to the ACHA Third Team All-American for the first time in his career.
Baker becomes one of just ten defensemen in all of Division III hockey to be honored with this achievement. He anchored an Oswego defense that surrendered just 2.3 goals per game, and an 8.7 shooting percentage, including 6 shutouts on the season.
Individually, Baker notched 6 goals and 18 assists for 24 points on the season, along with 20 blocked shots defensively. He ended the season with a +9 plus minus. Earlier this season, Baker was named first team all-conference in the SUNYAC.
The Lakers fell in the SUNYAC Championship to Hobart College, ending their season with a record of 19-7-2. The final regular season poll ranked the Lakers #13 in the country and were previously as highly ranked at #4.
