Oswego, NY - The Oswego State Women's Lacrosse team was named the preseason favorite to repeat as SUNYAC Champions following their impressive 2025 season.
The Lakers concluded their season with an impressive 13-2 record, including a perfect 9-0 conference record, and secured both the SUNYAC regular season title and the SUNYAC Tournament Title. Their season ended earlier than hoped, with a first-round exit to Ithaca College in the NCAA Tournament, and they finished with a final record of 15-3.
The Lakers return both of their top goal scorers, as Junior
Alexis Hill (Windsor, N.Y. / Windsor High School; 56 G, 8 A, 64 P) returns for her senior season, and Sophomore
Cassidy Croce (Croton Hudson, N.Y. / Croton-Harmon High School; 42 G, 7 A, 49 P) returns for her Junior season.
Minding the net is another returner for the Lakers, Junior
Alana Iacovissi (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Academy; 12-3, 8.61 GAA, .397 SV%) returns for her senior season and second full season starting for Oswego.
The Lakers begin their season on the road against SUNY Poly, that game coming on February 25th at 5:00 P.M., which is the second meeting in school history (2025). Oswego begins their SUNYAC title defense on March 25th, where they will travel to Fredonia, which is set to get underway at 4:00 P.M.
