Wagenhauser won the 400-meter dash title with a NCAA-qualifying time of 48.16 seconds at the State University of New York Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Cortland. The sophomore’s time, which bettered his own school record by nearly nine-tenths of a second, is currently the 14th-fastest time in Division III. He is the first Laker to win the 400 meters since Rob Kurcoba took first in 2000. Wagenhauser also ran the first leg of the third-place 4x400 relay team that posted an ECAC-qualifying, school-record time of 3:21.06.
