OSWEGO, N.Y. - Brian Sortino of the men's basketball team has been named the Oswego State Male Athlete of the week award for the week ending on December 14, 2014.

Sortino scored 23 points to lead all scorers in an 89-63 win over Cazenovia on the road on Friday.

The sophomore hit five three-pointers setting a new career high. Sortino ended the game with a shooting percentage of .538 from the field and also went a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe.

Men's basketball will return to action at 4 p.m. on Dec. 28 when they take on Haverford College in the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona, Fla.
