Oswego State ties Elmira 2-2

Not even a change of scenery could change the outcome as both Oswego State and Elmira College  hockey teams battled to a tie for the second straight night. The Lakers and Soaring Eagles finished in a 2-2 deadlock at Romney Field House after starting the home-and-home series on Friday in Elmira.

That game finished in a 3-3 draw.

In the second period, Andy Rozak (Mississauga, ONT) scored from the slot while Oswego State was on the power play. Paul Perrier (Aurora, ONT) collected the lone assist on the goal that game 8:17 into the period.

The Soaring Eagles cut the deficit in half just 53 seconds later as Mark Mazzetti (Hamilton, ONT) tallied while Elmira was on the man advantage.

It remained a one-goal deficit into the third period when Elmira tied the game four minutes in. Tyler Schremp (Fulton, NY) sent a centering pass to Darcy Pettie (Milton, ONT), who netted his first goal of the season.

Freshman Ryan Scott (Williamsville, NY) made his first start for the Lakers and finished with 32 saves.
