Second-ranked RIT proved to be too much for the Oswego State men's lacrosse team, as the Tigers held an 10-1 lead after three quarters, but the Lakers posted four goals in the final quarter in an 11-5 loss on Saturday afternoon at South Athletic Field.  RIT was paced by A.J. Tingle's four goals and Jordan MacIntosh's four assists, while five different players scored for Oswego State, which fell to 5-8 overall.  The Tigers remained undefeated on the season at 13-0.

The Lakers play their final two games of the year on the road starting on Wednesday when they travel to Potsdam to face the Bears at 4 p.m.

Casey Balzer put Oswego State on the scoreboard first 56 seconds into the game for his tenth goal of the season.  After the subsequent face-off, RIT went down the field and received the first of back-to-back goals by Chris Cherami.  The Tigers scored their third marker of the quarter with 4:40 on the clock with an unassisted goal by Tingle.

RIT capitalized on a Laker offside penalty early in the second quarter when Tingle put away a pass from Matt Lesczynski with 33 seconds elapsed in the stanza.  The Tigers scored four more times before haltime with goals by Ryan Speciale, Tingle, and two from Tyler Russell for an 8-1 halftime lead.  Oswego State had a chance near the end of the half to put some goals on the board when it had a two-man advantage for the final 46 seconds, but were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

In a quiet third quarter, Kelso Davis and Tingle recorded goals for RIT, as Laker goalie Ian O'Brien made seven of his game-total 16 saves in the stanza.

The Tigers made a goalie change in the fourth quarter as Anthony Deleo came into the game for Robert Tonnessen, who made 12 saves in the first 45 minutes.  Taylor Wisman posted RIT's 11th goal of the game less than a minute into the quarter, but Oswego State continued to battle the Tigers.  Balzer fed Britt Leone as he was moving towards the net for his 13th goal of the year with 11:42 to play.  Senior Pat Decker recorded a goal of his own with 5:22 remaining.  The final two Laker goals were registered by Tyler Calkin and Andy Preischel to make the final score 11-5.
