Men's Ice Hockey Opens Post-Season Saturday Against Buffalo State

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The No. 3/6 Oswego State men's ice hockey team (21-4-0) opens post-season play as the top seed in the State University of New York Athletic Conference Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season on Saturday at 7 p.m. when the Lakers host fourth-seeded Buffalo State (13-11-2) in a semifinal game.

Oswego State earned the No. 1 seed by finishing one point ahead of Plattsburgh in the league standings, while the Bengals defeated Fredonia, 6-0, on Wednesday to earn its spot in the semifinal. If the Lakers win, they will host the winner of Plattsburgh/Geneseo on Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m. If Buffalo State wins, it will travel to the winner of Plattsburgh/Geneseo on Saturday, March 2.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
- Oswego State swept the season series against Buffalo State with a 5-4 win at the Campus Center Arena in November and a 4-0 win at Buffalo two weeks ago.
- The Lakers own an all-time record of 32-0-4 over the Bengals. Buffalo State's most recent tie came on February 8, 2002 in a 5-5 decision at Buffalo.
- Saturday's game is the first post-season meeting between the two programs.
