RESULTSBINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team (No.3 West) fell 5-0 to the No. 2 in the East Oneonta at the Binghamton Tennis Center in the first round of the SUNYAC Championship on Friday morning.
Jill Travis and
Leslie Usherwood teamed up for second doubles playing neck-and-neck with their opponents eventually falling to the Red Dragons duo to 8-6.
Alicia Kreamer and
Alli Ullrich earned two games off Oenonta's first doubles team before falling 8-2.
Ullrich was at third in singles play dropping the first set 1-6. The junior was on her way back though, holding a 4-3 lead in the second set before the match came to a close as Oneonta clinched its fifth point.
Women's tennis will continue its SUNYAC Championship play at 8 a.m. on Saturday as it takes on Plattsburgh in the first round of the consolation bracket.
