OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The Oswego State men's ice hockey program is proud to announce its two newcomers to the 2019-20 roster. Oswego's newcomers are comprised of one freshmen and one transfer.
Carson Vance comes to Oswego following two seasons at Western Michigan University. Through his sophomore campaign, the Tempe, Ariz. native recorded one assist in 33 career games played. Prior to joining Western Michigan, Vance played 168 career games in the United States Hockey League (USHL) where he produced 10 goals and 53 assists for 63 points. In his last season with the Sioux City Musketeers, Vance was among the top-10 defenders in scoring.
Alex DiCarlo joins the Lakers after splitting his final season of juniors with the Pembroke Lumber Kings and Smiths Falls Bears. The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native had a long career in the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL), playing 178 career games, tallying 64 goals and 81 assists for 145 points. In his last year of juniors, DiCarlo was selected among the 22 best players in the CCHL to represent Canada in Sochi, Russia in the Junior Club Sirius World Cup.
Oswego and its newcomers will begin its 2019-20 campaign with an exhibition contest at 7 p.m. on Saturday against the Carlton Place Canadians of the CCHL at home. It will be the hockey team's annual Teal Game and more information will be released in a pre-game story on Wednesday.
