OSWEGO, NY -The SUNYAC has announced their weekly awards. The Lakers very own Sam Krauthiem was selected as the Defensive Athlete of the Week award for Field Hockey!

In two games tlast week for the Lakers, Krautheim collected 15 saves. She was an important part of the first conference win of the season for the Lakers Friday when they hosted the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs. She had 9 saves in that game including big ones down the stretch to keep Morrisville at bay in the closing minutes. Krautheim also currently leads the SUNYAC in saves with 142 which is 14 more than second place.

Sam is a freshman on the field hockey team and has started all 14 games in goal. Oswego will return home tomorrow to take on Houghton University starting at 4:00 PM.
