OSWEGO, N.Y. – D3hoops.com released their 2024-25 men's basketball preseason D3hoops.com Top 25 poll on Wednesday October 23^rd. The SUNY Oswego Lakers men's basketball team received 21 votes in the poll!

Last season, the Lakers hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament and ultimately fell the Williams in the second round. They graduated 4 starters in Jeremiah Sparks, Kaleb Cook, Jamal Achille, and Cartier Bowman. The incoming class is a strong mix of transfers as well as true freshman.

"Receiving votes in the D3hoops.com poll is a reflection of our program's recent success. It's encouraging, but we know we have to stay focused and continue to improve every day. Rankings are nice, but our ultimate goal is to compete at our best when it matters most." Head Coach Jason Leone.

The Lakers will open up their season on Friday November 8^th at a tournament in Rochester, NY against Muhlenberg College.
