OSWEGO, NY - The NABC has announced the 2023-24 NABC Division III All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division III.
Jeremiah Sparks and
Ahkee Anderson have both been named to the first team for District Three. Head Coach
Jason Leone has also been named coach of the year for District three.
Sparks led the SUNYAC with 302 points in conference play and 5557 overall this season averaging 17.8 points in SUNYAC play and 19.2 overall. This season he has 178 rebounds, 94 assists, 45 steals and 14 blocks. The Lakers were the top seed after regular season play and earned the right to host the final four but were upset by No. 2 New Paltz in the championship game, 85-80. Sparks was named first team All-Conference and was also selected to the All-Tournament team after scoring 22 points in the final game. Sparks has also been named to The Top 50 Bevo Francis award watch list this season. Jeremiah was also named SUNYAC Player of the year. Sparks is a senior from Jordan, NY.
Anderson had an incredible season for the Lakers averaging 15.3 points, 2.5 assists and 4 rebounds. He scored a total of 428 points which is second most on the team behind
Jeremiah Sparks. He led the SUNYAC in three-point shooting with a scorching hot 57% from behind the arch this season. Anderson was named first team all-conference by the SUNYAC, last season he was second team all-conference in the SUNYAC. Anderson is a junior from Greenport, NY.

Jason Leone led the Lakers team to the No. 1 seed after regular season conference play. The team fell in a battle to New Paltz, 85-80, in the championship game, but earned an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. Prior to the 2023-24 season, Head Coach
Jason Leone had an overall record of 236-81 while going 148-50 in the conference play. Leone was also named part of the Coaching staff of the year in the SUNYAC for the third consecutive season and sixth time in his career.
The Lakers hosted the first round of the 2024 NCAA Division III tournament with Williams College, Babson College and Desales University.
