The Lakers finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 14-11-1 and a conference record of 12-5-1. This was good enough to earn them a post season spot in the SUNYAC where they lost to the eventual SUNYAC Champion Cortland, 2-1.
To start the season, they will host two exhibitions. One against the Barrie Junior Sharks (Oct 19
th) and one against the London Devilettes (Oct 26
th).
The regular season will kick off with a home game against William Smith on November 1
st followed by a road game the next day at William Smith. On November 8
th, the Lakers will return home for Military Appreciation night against SUNY Canton before heading to SUNY Morrisville on November 15
th.
White Out weekend will commence on November 16
th when Plattsburgh comes to town followed by Cortland on November 22
nd (Faculty & Staff Appreciation) and Potsdam on December 6
th (Teddy Bear Toss).
A six-game road trip is up next for the Lakers where they will take on Buffalo State (Dec 7
th), Hamilton (Jan 4
th), Plattsburgh (Jan 10
th/11
th), and Potsdam (Jan 17
th/18
th). On January 21
st women's ice hockey will return home for education day to host Amherst. The following weekend they will welcome Manhattanville to town for two games celebrating their seniors on Saturday January 25
th.
Buffalo state will come to Oswego on January 31
st for two games in two days. Then, the Lakers will head to SUNY Canton for two games on February 7
th and 8
th. The SUNY Morrisville Mustangs will be in town on February 14
th and 15
th followed by Cortland on February 21
st. The final regular season game will be at Cortland on February 22
nd.
The top four teams in the SUNYAC will qualify for post season play. The Lakers will look to qualify for the second season in a row.
