OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Oswego men's ice hockey team schedule release is here! There are plenty of chances to come support the Lakers as they make a push for the post season once again!

Last season, the Lakers finished with a record of 16-9-1 overall and 12-4 in the SUNYAC. They unfortunately fell in the first round of the post season to SUNYAC rival, Plattsburgh 3-2.

The men will open their season with two home exhibitions against Kings College on October 19^th (Friends & family weekend) and Nazareth on October 26^th.

The regular season will open at Hobart on November 1^st. On November 2^nd, the Lakers will have their regular season home opener against Elmira on ovarian cancer awareness night where the Lakers will wear teal. The following weekend the men will host Adrian on November 9^th for military appreciate night.

White out weekend will be on Friday November 15^th this year when Plattsburgh comes to town. On Saturday, the Lakers will take on the Potsdam Bears. The home stand will continue with Buffalo State on November 22^nd and Fredonia on November 23^rd (Teddy Bear Toss).

On November 29^th and 30^th the Lakers will be at the Utica University tournament in Utica, NY. Then they will head to SUNY Morrisville on December 6^th and Cortland on December 7^th.

After winter break, the Lakers return to host their annual Holiday Tournament on January 3^rd and 4^th sponsored by Clarion and Best Western. Three road games are up next for the Lakers starting with Utica on January 9^th, Nazareth on January 10^th, and Canton on January 14^th.

On January 18^th, the Lakers will take on Cortland at the Skaneateles Community Center to benefit Griffins Guardians. The following Friday the Lakers be home to take on Canton on January 24^th before heading back on the road.

Three road games in a row at Plattsburgh (Feb 1^st), Fredonia (Feb 7^th), and Buffalo St (Feb 8^th) will be an important conference stretch for the Lakers who return home on February 14^th against the Red Dragons of Cortland. On February 15^th, the Lakers will celebrate their seniors against SUNY Morrisville.

The final regular season game will be on the road at Canton on February 21^st.

The top four teams in the SUNYAC will qualify for post season play. The Lakers will look to qualify for the thirty sixth consecutive season.
