OSWEGO, N.Y. – Sophia Portalatin – of the women's soccer team – was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 27.

The junior goalkeeper helped the Lakers to a 1-1 week, including a shutout of conference-foe Buffalo State on Saturday.

The Staten Island, N.Y. native made eight saves on Friday in a close 2-1 setback to Fredonia before making eight more in the 2-0 victory over the Bengals.  Portalatin leads Oswego with an .824 save percentage and has 42 saves on the season.

Portalatin and the Lakers have now concluded their 2019 campaign.
