Oswego State Athletics Hall of Fame
William Orlando earned his spot in the Hall of Fame thanks to an outstanding career in cross country and track and field. A two-time NCAA Championship qualifier, Orlando made an immediate impact as a freshman and again as a junior. At the 1976 national meet, he finished in the top 50 out of 341 runners with a time of 26:14. He also played a key role on the 1973 team that finished 14th in the nation. Known for his consistency, work ethic, and competitive drive, Orlando helped lay the foundation for success in Oswego's distance running programs.
